Young people and poverty, have your say..
All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG): Youth Affairs - Survey on Young People and Poverty
APPGs are informal cross-party groups of members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. APPG members meet to discuss a particular issue of concern and explore relevant issues relating to their topic.
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs are conducting a survey to shape the scope of a 2020 inquiry into young people and poverty.
The survey can be accessed online via: https://surveys.ymca.org.uk/s/APPGYoutAffairs/ and the closing date is next Wednesday 22nd April.
This topic was selected at the AGM from the suggestions given at the previous meeting on ‘What should the new government’s priorities be for young people?’ and based on findings by the group’s secretariat YMCA and BYC.
The survey replaces an earlier planned meeting and will act as an opportunity for respondents to put forward ideas and topics within the theme of poverty and communities.
The officers of the APPG will take the findings from the survey and set the question and specific direction for the inquiry going forward.
