Put down the knives pick up a paint brush!

By Emmerson S

I had the absolute privilege of watching Nathan Bowen creating his masterpiece in Bellingham. The public art display was prompted by the senseless murder of Jai Hughes - Sewell a young teen who should have been destined for great things. This moving visual image encourages us all to put knives down and pick up a paint brush instead. As a community we have to find the answers to our problems and inspire young people to be involved and engaged in positivity, promote self worth and dismantle negative stereotypical messages and unconscious bias towards fellow communitarians. You can see other pieces of Nathan’s work on the Walworth Road, Brockley and Charing Cross. If you spot other works of art by Nathan Bowen please let me know

where.
