Champions of inclusion

Champions of inclusion is an event where we can learn more about young people with special educational needs and disabilities and do interactive activities about the disability.

Disabled kids are invited to share their different experiences on their disability and give us an insight on what their life is like. This creates more awareness and shows us how we could help them in certain situations .

This event also encourages disabled young people to engage with other children and make them feel included and listened to.

Champions inclusion is part of the young mayor and young advisors work.Young people with special needs and disabilities as well as those who support them meet regularly to plan events and activities , we want to hear the voice of young people with special needs and disabilities so that they can feed into decision making.

This term champions of inclusion have been working with drum beat school and students there have created a workshop about being autistic . They shared the workshop with other schools on the 12th of July
